Tommy is a class of 2027 Newburyport High School student, and member of the ACES Youth Corps. Tommy has grown up on a family farm, owned and operated by board member John Elwell, resulting in a fascination with biology and an advanced understanding of natural processes. Currently, he is active in high school soccer, as well as varsity indoor and outdoor track. As a participant in the interact club at NHS, he has pursued numerous volunteer opportunities associated with climate sciences. Outside of academics, Tommy enjoys spending his free time with his family doing outdoor activities such as surfing, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking. Tommy has been managing the ACES Website and weekly column posts in association with the Daily News of Newburyport since August 2024. Additionally, alongside fellow corps member Gerig Witner, he is working on the ACES social media team to bring more youth engagement with the ACES initiatives.
