Molly Ettenborough

Molly Ettenborough is the Sustainability Manager for the City of Newburyport. She oversees solid waste, recycling, and yard waste operations and citywide organics composting programs. Additionally, she manages energy procurement for the municipality, the city’s Green Communities designation and projects, as well as, city wide energy efficiency programs. She is also an active member of the Resiliency Committee that oversees the city’s resiliency planning. Through the work of her office and many dedicated volunteers, the City has received numerous awards for its’ environmental sustainability.

Previously she was the General Manager of Citizens Energy, a Boston-based company whose worldwide assistance programs were funded by the after-tax revenues from its’ diversified subsidiary commercial enterprises in the energy, healthcare and international development sectors.

A graduate of Boston University, Molly has three grown children and resides in Newburyport with her husband Peter. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys spending time playing tennis, biking, skiing, hiking and caring for dogs.
