Ellie Kerns

Ellie’s background is steeped in experiences that have led to her being a passionate environmental steward. Growing up just a couple miles from the Great Marsh and enjoying outdoor activities such as Nordic skiing, running, and hiking heightened her awareness and appreciation for nature. Her background includes serving as a volunteer and intern for the Joppa Flats Audubon Education Center and a member of the NHS Environmental Club as well as GOMI. Ellie is an environmental studies and economics student at Amherst College as well as the project coordinator for the Sustainable Ocean Alliance club at Amherst. She is applying her skills as a member of the ACES Youth Corps and a stewardship Intern providing project and media support for the Remembrance of Climate Futures Plaque project.
